In our ongoing efforts  to make the FACC a stronger and more vibrant organization the Board of Directors and Staff have made some changes to our ‘Events’ Calendar’ for 2008.

Beaujolais Nouveau

For the past several years our major fundraising event was held in November to coincide with the release of Beaujolais Nouveau. This event had been positioned as an elegant gala, but many members have pointed out that the traditional commemoration of Beaujolais Nouveau is a much more casual affair: it should be a party where members, friends, and business associates are able to celebrate the release of Beaujolais Nouveau, enjoy delicious simple hors-d’œuvres, and have a fun time getting to know one another in a casual, festive setting.  Therefore, this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau event is being planned to encompass these suggestions.

Soiree Prestige

To replace Beaujolais Nouveau as our major Gala fundraiser, this year we are introducing a new, elegant event -- ‘Soirée Prestige’.

Scheduled for Saturday, June 7th, the Soirée Prestige will feature a lavish four-course dinner at the elegant Sunset Club in Seattle’s fashionable Capitol Hill neighborhood.

This black-tie affair will begin with a reception and silent auction followed by a four-course dinner and a live auction.

The live auction will feature no more than ten items, thereby allowing guests more time to socialize and enjoy the Soirée.

For added ambiance, we will have live music and dancing –all with a French flair!
